Position Description:¶
• Preserve the history of the groups in the District, the District itself, and Area 35
Responsibilities:¶
• Attend all District Meetings, Assemblies and ACMs, and Service Workshops, where ful-ly reimbursed.
• Give reports of all committee activities, and of all meetings attended.
• Archives Chair will be funded by District 8 to attend all of these events. Chairs shall be prudent with their spending and will find others to share rooms and rides with, in order to minimize expenses to the District.
• Submit for reimbursement of expenses in a timely manner.
• Obtain, read, and use the Archives workbook and any GSO-related materials.
• Read the A.A. Service Manual.
• Gather written materials such as minutes, financial reports, committee information, documentation on activities and flyers.
• Gather written group histories and recorded interviews of Oldtimers, to keep in the Ar-chives.
• Photographs, books, and pamphlets can be preserved and shared with Area 35.
• Update Trusted Servant Guidelines and submit the updates by June of the second year to the District Secretary.
• Assist the incoming Archives Chair with experience, records, information, and sugges-tions.
